All too much, all too often.
Today, September 1, 2015, I am too weary to be anything but sad, too weary to contemplate the greater implications of the increasing violence in my country, the U.S.A., supposedly the land of the free, certainly home of the brave.
Perhaps, tomorrow, I'll be outraged at the senseless murders of my fellow citizens: old people, middle age people, young adults, teens, children.
Today, Chicago.
In the past (no special order, sorry if I missed anything, there are so many):
Columbine.
Sandy Hook.
9/11.
Houston.
Charleston.
Virginia Tech.
Roanoke.
But, today, I'm just tired.
Later, I can think about the greater purpose of this site, if any.
I do know this: I don't want this memorial to become yet another polarizing site.
No matter race, ethnic group, gender, occupation, or sexual orientation:
Their Lives Mattered
That is all.
I'll leave the comment section open for now.
